Monthly Mentorship for Yoga Teachers

A small, ongoing group for yoga teachers who want to keep learning Together.

What this is:

The monthly mentorship is a small, paid group of working yoga teachers who meet with me twice a month over Zoom. We meet to study together, to practise together, and to talk about the students we’re teaching and the questions our own practice is raising.

It is an ongoing working relationship and a steady space to keep deepening your teaching, with a teacher who knows your name, your students, and what you’re working with.

The mentorship draws on everything I’ve been studying and teaching for the last twenty years, Yin, Ashtanga, adaptive practice, the nervous system, and the classical texts and is shaped month by month by what members are working with.

Who this is for:

This mentorship is designed for working yoga teachers looking for a place to keep learning on an ongoing basis. Most members are people who have been teaching for at least a year, who are drawn to slower, inquiry-led work, and who want to be in a small enough group to be genuinely seen.

Members tend to share some of these qualities:

  • Qualified yoga teachers with at least a year of teaching experience

  • Drawn to a slower, inquiry-led way of working, interested in depth and the long arc of the craft

  • Working with (or wanting to work with) Yin, restorative, adaptive practice, and nervous-system aware teaching

  • Open to being seen, to being in a small group where the teacher knows them and their students

  • Able to commit to live attendance most months, because the relational quality is much of what makes this different

If you are newer to teaching, or your motivation is primarily to obtain CEUs, you are still welcome to get in touch. We can have a conversation about whether the mentorship is the right fit for you now, or whether something else might serve you better this season.

How it works:

Two 90-minute live Zoom sessions per month, across a monthly theme.

Session 1 - Teaching. I teach on the month's theme, with discussion and Q&A. Recent and upcoming themes include: teaching the nervous system; foundations of Yin and the archetypes; breath as regulation; intelligent sequencing; teaching to older bodies; language and consent in the cue.

Session 2 - Practice & Enquiry. We practise together, and hold space for case discussion, your real students, your real questions, and feedback on your teaching.

Between sessions, members have access to:

  • Recordings of both monthly calls (12-month access)

  • A private community space for questions, discussion, and staying in touch with each other

  • A simple monthly practice brief summarising the theme

  • An optional monthly reading or listening pack

  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through Yoga Alliance YACEP

Investment:

£75 per month, billed monthly by direct debit. Cancel any time with 30 days’ notice.

Annual option: £750 paid once (two months free).

Founding Members: The first 8 members pay a Founding Member rate of £55 per month, locked in for as long as you remain subscribed. This rate honours your trust in joining before there is a public body of feedback to draw on, and it stays with you for as long as you stay in the group.

What’s included in your membership:

  • Two live 90-minute calls each month

  • Call recordings (12-month access)

  • Community space and monthly practice brief

  • CEU Certificate at the end of each year

Available separately if you’d like them are: 1:1 yoga therapy sessions with me, my YACEP trainings, and any retreats or workshops I offer.

How to Join

Because this is a small group, I would like to chat with you before you join. Please fill out the short application and then book a 20-minute call with me, so we can make sure the mentorship is right for you and where you are in your teaching journey.

What students say about working with Gem

  • “Having completed my Yin Yoga training with Gem at the Deeside Yoga Institute, I can honestly say it was both thought-provoking and transformed my yoga experience. This experience wasn’t just about learning how to teach Yin Yoga. It was about unlearning old patterns, creating space within, and reconnecting with a deeper, more authentic version of myself.”

    — Nicola, Health and Wellness Coach February 2026 Yin Yoga Graduate

  • "I came away with a much deeper and more practical understanding of Yin yoga. I feel more confident holding space".

    —Pasha Das
    2026 Yin Yoga Graduate

  • "The Yin Yoga Foundations training gave me a much deeper understanding of yin poses, how to plan a lesson, and — most importantly for me — the principles behind yin. As a yoga teacher, I'm used to offering adaptations and options, but this training gave me a completely different way of approaching this in classes. I now feel genuinely confident in adapting my teaching to suit each individual body and in giving students the chance to take more ownership of their practice. What I learned applies far beyond yin — it has changed how I teach across the board. Gem's approach to teaching is inspirational, and the course was packed with content, both live and recorded. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go deep into yin yoga."

 FAQs

  • Life happens. Calls are recorded, and members have access to recordings for 12 months. The mentorship is built around live attendance most months; that is where the relationships form. Missing the occasional call is part of being human and is honoured.

  • Yes. Calls are held at a time suitable for the UK and European time zones (usually early evening UK time).

Members from the US East Coast, most of Europe and parts of Africa can attend live comfortably. From other time zones, the recordings and community space are there for you, and many members have made this work well for them.

  • Not quite. Yoga therapy is its own formal path of study, with its own training and certification (IAYT). The mentorship is nervous-system aware and therapeutically informed, and it deepens how you teach yoga, but is teacher development rather than yoga therapy training.

  • Not as a standard part of the mentorship. Members are warmly welcome to book individual sessions with me at my private session rate when they want focused one-to-one time.

  • The mentorship is capped at 15 members. When we’re at that capacity, a waitlist opens, and members are welcomed in as spaces become available.
